How Do Is The Amazon Credit Card Worthwhile You Know

In this post he will be discussing the pros and cons of the Amazon credit card. The Amazon Visa card is one of the most widely issued cards in the United States. It’s been out now for nearly a decades and seems to remain popular. But is this card really a good deal? Let’s find out…

For starters, let’s take a look at how the rewards work. Currently, normal purchases earn 1 point per dollar spent. On drugstores, gas, and dining, it’s 2 points per dollar spent. For purchases on Amazon.com, it is 3 points per dollar. Once at least 2,500 points has been accumulated, they can be cashed out for an Amazon.com gift card, travel, or a check. Next, let’s consider the customer services. As a cardmember of several years, I unfortunately have had terrible customer service experiences. This is why I discontinued use of this card. The biggest frustration I have is the extremely low credit limits on my account, which are about 15% of the limits on my other cards. I called customer service to get them raised and the foreign call center was no help. It really is a slap in the face to give me such a pitiful limit on my Amazon credit card when I have a perfect credit history.

So basically, the only reason to use the Amazon Visa card would be for the rewards… but are they the really best? Well they are giving a slightly above average return on spending. However, the 2 points on dining, gas, and drugstores is far from impressive. There are a handful of other credit cards which easily beat that. So at the end of the day, I do not recommend the Amazon credit card.
